UsWARN

Overview

USWarn is a web–based system that enables WARN members to directly coordinate with each other to best recover from emergencies.

WARN organizations powered by USWarn feature:

  • Real-time Disaster / Event Mangement: USWarn notifies members when your WARN system is activated for an emergency, then allows members to actively manage resources in real-time to mitigate effects of the emergency.
  • Administrator-defined Content: State administrators create and edit their public and members-only web pages in a WYSIWYG page editor. No HTML or programming knowledge is required to create the content for a WARN site.
  • Public and Private web sites: Hosting of public and members-only web pages is handled by USWarn.
  • Site monitoring: Each WARN site to ensure it's available and working as expected.

Key benefits offered to WARN systems by USWarn:

  • Continuing Enhancements: WARN systems are evolving quickly, and often require new ways for members to coordinate. As WARN systems evolve, USWarn-powered sites are updated to meet new requirements.
  • Cost Effectiveness: USWarn was built for the express purpose of handling multiple WARN systems. There's no need for each state to hire disparate vendors to create and manage each state WARN site, with each state re-inventing the wheel at considerable expense.
  • Standardization: All WARN sites powered by USWarn have similar look and feel - there is no training required to move between systems using USWarn.
  • Centralization: Data is stored in a consistent format across WARN systems, making interstate comparison and reporting consistent and easy. This centralization also eases possible future interstate coordination.

USWarn.org is the next generation in WARN system management, built and actively managed by the programming team that created the FlaWARN site.
